Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Whether you’re stuffing yourselves with chocolates or prepping yourself for a date with your significant other or wallowing away at home in your own pitiful loneliness, doesn’t matter. Push all that aside cause Valentine’s Day is nothing! Nothing, compared to what I’m about to bring you. Read on, because I’ve brought to you another round of the K-pop Hunger Games.

Oh God, not again

I actually ran a Twitter poll despite having only like 15 followers and somehow, somehow I got a total of 8 votes. I was shocked and touched cause I wasn’t expecting much. Hell, I was thinking even one vote would be enough, so thanks a lot people. It was close but by just one vote, the Hunger Games won over my mascot crack post.

I guess y’all don’t care for why I made that K-pop boy, Jungkook, my blog mascot, but fear not, the three people who voted to know, I shall still do it, but wait. Be patient, please.

Anyways, without further ado, here are the districts and the events that followed:

{The Districts}

Districts 1 & 2: BTS

They survived Saudi Arabia and the gun-toting society known as America, but can they survive the Hunger Games?

I kept the districts in the same order as the previous game except for a few differences down the line. BTS stayed mostly the same this time around except I replaced SupremeBoi with their fanbase, ARMY. I’m sure this won’t create problems.

As for the boys, I tried this time around to find pictures that said Hunger Games instead of pretty flower boys, but it was quite hard cause I wasn’t gonna use fanart which can be disturbing. So we have only Jin, J-hope, and Jimin holding guns while V is the sacrificial lamb, RM is the intellectual, Suga is…the bad loner boy? And Jungkook is the dumb muscle (he’s taking a selfie in a gym, if you can’t see).

None of the boys really were that impressive in the last games so let’s see if they can even get that far in this time.

District 3 & 4: TWICE

They all have guns because the girls have been through a lot with stalkers lately and it was about time someone armed them with some defense. Oh, Tzuyu doesn’t have a gun cause she volunteered to be Katniss this time, so she has a bow and some arrows instead.

And let’s not question Jeongyeon.

District 5: LOONA

Once again from here on out, the districts will only hold 4 members from each group because I only had 48 slots in this game if you remember. I still had to have Chuu and Yves in the game especially since I found a pretty badass picture of her which I may put on my sidebar one day.

Anyways, the new contenders for Loona is Yeojin and Gown who I mainly picked for the pictures again though I felt kinda bad because Yeojin is quite young, but she’ll be alright…I think.

But because LOONA is 12 members, perhaps next time I will let them have two districts. Maybe, maybe if they impress me this round.

District 6: Monsta X

Monsta X is back but minus a member. Wonho was actually in the previous Hunger Games but because he isn’t a K-pop anymore I replaced him with the Monsta X’s second muscle and leader, Shownu, who looks like he doesn’t wanna be here.

Anyway, Wonho stans shouldn’t be too sad to see him go, he’s probably better off out of this game than you think since he won’t be so constricted and forced to do things he doesn’t want to. And it’s not just the Hunger Games I’m talking about. We wish Wonho well in his future endeavors and wish the best for Monsta X as they move on.

District 7: BongHive Rise Gang

Last time around, this district was the K-pop Lovers with some internet figures that are both loved and hated amongst certain groups of people. I may bring them back again one day but I had to include this group.

So welcome in the BongHive district. I had to put them here because I simulated the Hunger Games the day after the Oscars when the Korean movie Parasite swept up 4 Oscars including Best Picture so they’re reward is to be featured in this round of the Hunger Games. A better reward Nah, who am I kidding, this sucks for them to be here, but hey, they may one up these pretty boy and girl idols and show that peasants like us can rise and take over and be something too!

I swear, I’m not salty.

District 8: Red Velvet

So District 8 used to be SuperM but because Lucas was the winner last time around, I kicked them out because they have immunity…for now. If I get bored maybe I’ll stick them in here again but probably not considering the influx of K-pop groups.

So welcome, Red Velvet! Give a warm welcome to the girls who definitely need it since they’re down a member. The only good that brought me is the fact that I didn’t have to painstakingly decide who should sit this one out. Hopefully Wendy does recover smoothly.

District 9: BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK is here again. All with weapons except for Jisoo who looks disgusted to even be here. Oh, and it was Rose’s birthday a few days ago so happy belated birthday Rose~ Here’s your birthday present!

District 10: Dreamcatcher

Dreamcatcher is back! This district was actually 11 last time around and district 10 was the CEOs, but because I hate the CEOs, I pushed them down to the last district…wait, does that make them the heroes then if we go by the book?

Annnnywho, the only member from the original line-up is Jiu who I had to include because she’s the leader. Dami and Siyeon have joined to partake in the festivities. Handong technically shouldn’t even be here cause she’s supposed to be in China, but hey, special guest appearance, I guess.

District 11: The Soloists

Admittedly, I loved the original line-up of this district but that included Sulli who sadly passed away back in October a couple weeks after the first Hunger Games actually and I felt it poor taste to include her back into something like this. So, I now have Taemin and Chen. I wanted to also balance the district gender ratio so 2 boys and 2 girls it is.

District 12: The CEOs

Nothing much to say about these guys but I hope you liked the pictures.

Now onto the games!

Thrilling start

The games open up to practically everyone running away from the Cornucopia which is…smart if not a bit boring.

Other peeps did their best to grab supplies before running off
While BTS and TWICE work together. How sweet.

Unfortunately, we had our first death of the game so soon, too soon. I always root for IU in these things but she unfortunately misstepped and fell to her death. RIP.

After the bloodbath, the idols get right to it and waste no time in banding together to raid the hierarchy one of BTS’s camp starting with Jin’s. Already the smaller groups are going for the bigger groups.

I feel like I should’ve seen Taemin’s death coming, but I didn’t. It made me feel like I really made a mistake putting that poor K-pop boy into this game.

What a duo

Another raid except it’s a CEO’s camp with one of the raiders being a CEO himself. I thought JYP and Bang are friends, right? And that Bang worked for JYP for a time, so what more does the man want when he literally has a group working on world domination? How petty to raid the poor man’s camp after all that crushing defeat and defeat. How could you look at that face and take away probably the last few things making him feel alive?

Then again, Nayeon is probably behind the whole raid because she demanded better stalker protection and didn’t get it, so this is her vengeance.

Not sure how to feel about this group

Well, I guess there’s some inner turmoil in the BTS camp while our first Parasite kill is Choi Woo Shik who arguably played the mastermind in the movie so kind of ironic that he was the first to die.

And the day ends with this quaint interaction between a CEO and his idol with an eavesdropper in their midst.

Night 1 starts off peacefully enough. Lucky Jiu camps out with Bong Joon Ho, the director of Parasite. Wonder how their conversations went.

But things quickly escalate with Yeri and Lee Soo Man, who had only spoken earlier before probably planned to ambush those poor three. How IM got into the mix is anyone’s guess.

Park So Dam also busy while the idols just chill around a fire I guess
Unfortunately, we lose two more of LOONA’s team
Last LOONA survivor

Me too, Yves, me too.

Meanwhile, others seem to be having a whale of a time together. Suga x Sana anyone?

~Day 2~

JYP honestly never stood a chance in this game. I mean, he’s picture itself was foreshadowing this.

Momo is TAKEN Joy. Keep them hands to yourself.

These idols were honestly not the ones I would’ve thought would off themselves. I felt extra bad that Chen was one of them considering the recent dating/marriage/pregnancy news. Okay, maybe I shouldn’t have put him in this game either.

CEO of BigHit and BLACKPINK working together. See, harmony can exist in the K-pop world. Now, ARMYs, be nice to the BLACKPINK girls and stop cancelling them.

Well, this was sudden

And we end the night with one of the more stoic idols screaming for help. How quaint.

Going well into the molotov entered the picture and it only goes downhill from here

Day 3 was honestly the deadliest day yet. It even ended with three people dying in a row of various things. Hopefully the night is better.

Man, can’t blame Suga for crying honestly
Then you have these sadists
CEO vs CEO. Let’s get it!

Word of warning: whenever you see someone think about winning in these games, they never win. It’s just a pattern I’ve observed as I simulate these games.

Day 4! And Lisa has put Suga outta his misery. He wasn’t doing much anyway since some of the other members of BTS were killed so I guess it was only a matter of time.

Made the right decision for once
Please please please
And TWICE is going out for the count

And then it was night.

Quick Status Update

Surprisingly, the only BTS member left remaining alive at this point is Jungkook which is actually surprising because he sucks in these simulations. I guess he really has dumb luck.

Oh, and ARMY is still alive somehow…unfortunately.

TWICE only has 3 member left cause they kinda turned on themselves. Dahyun has like 3 kills. Scary.

Only a member alive each in districts 5 and 6. How has Yves survived so long without any kills? At the same time, the same could be said about Kang Ho Song but he honestly doesn’t look the type to kill. On the other hand, we have Park So Dam who is all but ready with her chainsaw to tear into someone.

District 8 is doing well enough despite losing their leader. District 9 is an amazing anomaly because somehow all 4 members of BLACKPINK are still alive which is also incredible since I have played simulations before where 2-3 of the members or even all of them are wiped out by like the 2nd day. So very very impressive. While Dreamcatcher is only half now but better than the soloist who didn’t stand a chance.

And lastly, we have the CEOs. All dead except for the CEO of SM Entertainment who has only survived this long by stepping on people and exploiting them before casting them aside when their usefulness is done to get ahead in the game, not unlike real life.

Of course, things never last in these games just as things never last in the K-pop industry.

However, we have some good two shoes here so not all is lost in this horrible every man/woman for himself/herself free for all. So it’s all the more amusing or saddening when you see them stab each other in the back.

What did Handong do to be tracked down by these 3?
Dahyun being an OG as usual

Night 5 starts with some pettiness and roasting. I’m sorry, I really should stop. My quips are NOT funny.

Bonding Time~!

Day 6 starts off relatively peacefully with Yves searching for some water out in the wild. Honestly, that picture really suits the games.

And here’s Rose letting out her pent up frustrations on all these innocent people (ARMY excluded) because after all while she’s desperate for a comeback these people have several ones a year and seeing them actually live out their dreams would drive anyone in her position to commit such an act.

Night 6 passes quite peacefully. But that’ll change! Don’t worry.

The chaos begins!

But then these losers were too smart to not go to the Feast so that spoiled a bit of the fun. Smarties.

Joy starts day 7

It’s now been a week. Wow, this is a bit better than the first game by the sheer fact that this is taking longer than last time. Lucas, the previous champion, won it in after 4 nights.

Speaking of males, at this point, Jungkook is the only man left alive in a game of women and it ain’t looking that great for him if the remaining women have banded together to “hunt for other tributes.” What other tributes? The only other tribute was Yves who drowned. And I doubt anyone will find Joy who’s hiding out in a cave.

It’s a manhunt boys and girls. JK better run.

Welp, that happened. The remaining BP girls have been wiped out in one day. Of course, Jungkook not only had to off himself but take Jisoo with him. Honestly, just imagine minding your own business walking in the woods and a K-pop boy falls on you.

Wait…a lot of fangirls would like that…a disturbing amount would like that.

But listen, JK definitely isn’t the lightest K-pop boy since he clearly works out so poor poor Jisoo. Girl got crushed. May she rest in peace.

Place your bets, people before you scroll down cause the next picture is it.

The bittersweetness of defeat

Well, the winner is: Momo Hirai! All Momo stans arise and applaud your queen for she has won the second round of the Hunger Games. Amazingly, in the last Hunger Games, Sana, also from TWICE, came in second so I guess you could say these Japanese girls got each other’s back and Momo came through.

Of course, someone who is now officially dating won on Valentine’s Day. What, what a great message to send to us singles out there when even in something like the Hunger Games favors the taken. Nope, not bitter at all.

Anyways, let’s move on from that. Because Momo won, this actually means that I may actually let TWICE sit out from the next Hunger Games and replace them with another group. Guess we will see. But for now, thank you for tuning into this round of the Hunger Games and we hope to see you again for the next one!

Ciao for now.
